A rare and very old ceramic cheese dome, made by Mosa Maastricht (1883-1996). The company was founded by Louis I Regout and his son Louis II Regout. This cheese dome comes from the 1920s of the last century. The cheese dome is marked with Mosa Maastricht Plateel. The cheese dome is cream-colored with a painting of thistles and buttercups. This variant is rare! The dome features a beautifully designed handle: a stylized mouse. It is quite tall, so a substantial cheese fits inside. It has the characteristic Art Deco style typical of the period. The cheese dome is in good condition. It has no hairlines or cracks. However, it has a number of chips, see the last photos. It is a beautiful, large dome. Total dimensions: 22.5 x 20 x 14 cm. It is an eye-catcher on a luxuriously laid table or party table. It looks particularly stunning on a decorated Christmas table. In addition, it is a very decorative collectible / design object. The cheese dome is carefully packed and sent by registered mail.
