Magnificent Mint-Green Apophyllite Cluster with Large

Impressive specimen of notable size mounted on a base of wood and steel. — An exceptional-quality Green Apophyllite specimen, coming from the renowned mineral localities of India. This imposing cluster, weighing over 4 kg, is a true masterpiece of nature, superbly presented on a black wood and steel design base that enhances its three-dimensionality and monumentality. Its bulk and the perfection of the crystals make it a museum piece, capable of becoming the focal point of any collection or environment. The cluster is composed of an aggregate of large Apophyllite crystals with a pseudo-cubic and tabular habit, intersecting to create a natural sculpture of great impact. The color ranges from a delicate mint green to nearly colorless and translucent zones, revealing a vitreous and pearlescent luster on the perfectly striated faces. On the basalt matrix one can also note globular aggregates of salmon-colored Stilbite, which add a pleasant color contrast and testify to the paragenesis typical of this provenance. Apophyllite (Fluorapophyllite-(K)) is a phyllosilicate that crystallizes in the cavities (geodes) of basalt rocks. Specimens from the Deccan plateau in India are considered the best in the world for size, luster, and crystal perfection. These formations originated millions of years ago from the cooling of lava flows, where silica-, potassium-, calcium-, and water-rich fluids slowly deposited these mineral jewels. Presented on a custom-made pedestal, this specimen transcends its purely mineralogical value to become an exclusive design object. It is ideal for enriching a modern Wunderkammer, a professional study, a luxury living room, or a gallery. Its geometric beauty and natural energy catch the eye and invite contemplation, blending geological wonder with contemporary display elegance. This lot represents a rare opportunity to acquire a piece of natural history of superior size and quality. A specimen that is not just a mineral, but a true work of art created by the Earth, selected and prepared for the most demanding collectors and lovers of beauty.
