The 'Batzeba' sculpture is more than a decorative object; it is an expression of fantasy and modern art. The triangular shape and the stylized depiction of a head evoke a sense of mystery and introspection. The deep red color can symbolize passion, strength or love, making the interpretation personal. This makes the glass artwork an excellent and meaningful gift for a special occasion such as an anniversary, a birthday or as a token of appreciation. It adds an artistic and colorful accent to any space, from a classic to a modern interior. About the artist Mats Jonasson’s talent as a glass artist attracted attention early on, when he began in 1959 as an apprentice-engraver at the Målerås glassworks. In the following decades he worked with many of the most respected contemporary glass artists in Sweden. During this period he developed a natural style that he has since perfected. "Our forests have captured the hearts and minds of people since time immemorial," says Mats. Inspired by the natural world around him, he has opened his mind to create his hallmark masterpieces in the finest Swedish crystal. Today this son of the glassworks is represented all over the world.
