Mammal - Fossil skeleton - Canis teilhardi - 25 cm - 45 cm

An exceptionally rare and museum-grade masterpiece is being offered: the fossil skull of a prehistoric wolf (Canis teilhardi), beautifully preserved in the original natural matrix. Canis teilhardi is one of the earliest representatives of the canid family (Canis) and offers a fascinating glimpse into the evolution of prehistoric predators. This specimen excels in its high level of detail. The complete upper and lower jaws are perfectly visible, including the impressive, razor-sharp dentition with the canines and molars still largely in situ. The bone structure contrasts beautifully with the surrounding characteristic reddish-brown sediment. The fossil has been expertly prepared to bring anatomical details to the fore without compromising the structural integrity of the matrix. The object is supplied with a luxurious, tailor-made metal presentation stand, making it an immediate standout in any exclusive collection, cabinet of curiosities, or modern interior. Specifications • Species: Canis teilhardi (Prehistoric wolf / canid) • Period: Early Pleistocene (approximately 1.5 – 2 million years old) • Condition: Excellent state, natural matrix, professional preparation with minimal and skilled restoration (as is customary with this type of vertebrate fossils). • Included: Custom-made display stand
