A contemporary studio ceramic sculpture by New Zealand artist Mandy Gargiulo. This globular orb is constructed from unglazed white porcelain. The surface is entirely covered in a dense, repetitive pattern of hand-modeled, overlapping petal-like protrusions, creating a highly tactile, organic texture. The flat underside of the piece features a pitted texture and an incised artist signature mark resembling a stylized letter m or the Scorpio zodiac symbol.
