MANFRED LINUS KREINER (1926–2005) Title: John F. Kennedy — Presidential Arrival in Mexico, 1962 DESCRIPTION: Stunning photograph by Manfred Linus Kreiner in Mexico City, on June 29, 1962, during the arrival of President John F. Kennedy for an official state visit to Mexico. The image captures Kennedy advancing alongside a senior Mexican officer in ceremonial uniform, within the solemn frame of the welcoming ceremony. In the background, a U.S. military aircraft reinforces the official and international dimension of the scene. Through its sober framing and particularly elegant composition, Kreiner captured an emblematic moment of this historic visit, during which Kennedy was welcomed with considerable enthusiasm by the authorities and the Mexican people.
