Antique Manhattan Fire Arms Co. Series V Navy Model percussion revolver, .36 caliber, six-shot cylinder and approximately 6-3/8" octagonal barrel. Barrel marked "MANHATTAN FIRE ARMS CO. NEWARK N.J. / PATENTED MARCH 8, 1864." Cylinder with engraved scene and 1859 patent marking. Serial number 8931, with matching number visible on multiple components. Brass trigger guard and backstrap with one-piece walnut grip. Series V production dates to approximately 1867-1868. Gray-brown patina with scatt ered oxidation, pitting, scratches and finish loss. Brass shows age toning. Grip shows handling wear, scratches and finish loss. Cylinder engraving remains partially visible. Action works. See images. shipping info This item can be shipped in-house.
