Antique Manhattan Fire Arms Co. Series V Navy Model percussion revolver, .36 caliber, six-shot cylinder and approximately 6-3/8" octagonal barrel. Barrel marked "MANHATTAN FIRE ARMS CO. NEWARK N.J. / PATENTED MARCH 8, 1864." Cylinder with engraved scene and 1859 patent marking. Serial number 8931, with matching number visible on multiple components. Brass trigger guard and backstrap with one-piece walnut grip. Series V production dates to approximately 1867-1868. Gray-brown patina with scatt ered oxidation, pitting, scratches and finish loss.
