Manifattura Italiana "G.G." - Sculpture

If objects could speak, this piece would tell you a story of charm, mystery, and absolute devotion. This is not just a simple ceramic sculpture. Behind the sweet and proud gaze of this splendid Goose with a Little Pink Cap in the Nest, hand-painted in the 1970s by the renowned Italian workshop "G.G.", lies an extraordinary past. For decades it sat on the grandmother’s bedside table, seemingly as an elegant 21 cm decorative trinket tray. But there was a secret that only she knew. The goose’s wings unfolded and the nest cavity didn’t guard just keys or small jewelry. It was the safe refuge where the grandmother hid, day after day, her precious gold coins. Each time she brought home a new one, the goose "spread its wings" to protect it, camouflaging it among the warm hues of the painted nest. A true secret chest camouflaged as a work of art. FEATURES OF THE MASTERPIECE: - Manufacturer: Authentic Italian art ceramic, branded "G.G.". - Subject: Anthropomorphic goose with pink cap and elegant bow at the neck, depicted inside its nest (trinket tray/treasure chest function). - Period: 1970s (with a design exquisitely inspired by Vicentine early 20th-century tradition). - Dimensions: Ideal height of 21 cm. - Craftsmanship: Entirely molded and hand-painted, with splendid pastel shades ranging from sky blue to yellow beak, down to the meticulous hatch of the nest. - Conditions: Excellent, preserved with the care reserved for the dearest things.
