MANN Grundig - Herman Van Springel - Cycling jersey

This is the iconic yellow wool team jersey of the Belgian cycling team Mann-Grundig from the 1968 season. This was one of the absolute Belgian top teams of the 1960s and is known in cycling history as a squad full of iron-strong Flemish talent. The best-known rider to wear this exact jersey was the legendary Herman Vanspringel (nicknamed Monsieur Bordeaux-Paris). Vanspringel had in 1968 his absolute breakout year in this shirt: he won the Giro di Lombardia and that year finished second in the Tour de France by a hair (only 38 seconds behind Jan Janssen).
