Very decorative postmodern 'Swan Neck' hat stand bust and display head. The bust is made of plastic; probably cast high-gloss black resin. The sculpture is 55 cm tall, 14 cm wide, 20 cm deep and weighs about 5 kg. It probably dates from the 1980s and was likely made in France. This bust was made as a retail display, and probably as a hat stand. Of course, ties can also be tied or jewelry displayed with this bust. You could call the style postmodern, made in the vein of Camaflex / Lindsey Balkweill. This bust balances on the border between high-end retail interiors and minimalist interior art. The design reflects the iconic 'Swan Neck' aesthetic, strongly inspired by the elongated forms of Amedeo Modigliani and the Memphis Milano era. This sculpture is made from high-quality cast resin (resin/fiberglass). The head features an elegant, elongated neck and has minimalist, subtle facial features (ears, nose, mouth and eyes) and a completely smooth finish without hair.
