Description Elegant French Art Deco mantel clock, dating from approximately 1920–1930, featuring a finely modelled female figure accompanied by a bird and a dog. The clock is mounted on a substantial architectural base made of marble and onyx, with contrasting geometric elements characteristic of the Art Deco period. The upper section is decorated with a sculptural female figure in a seated position, holding a small bird in her hands, while a dog is depicted beside her. The combination of the geometric stepped base, contrasting marble and onyx and the patinated metal sculpture creates a striking example of French Art Deco decorative design. The clock features a rectangular dial with large Arabic numerals and a mechanical movement. The clock is currently functioning, according to the seller. The sculpture has a dark aged/patinated finish, contrasting with the lighter stone base. The marble and onyx show natural variations in colour and veining, as well as minor signs of age and use. The overall condition is good for its age, with some surface wear and minor imperfections to the stone and metal consistent with age. The photographs should be carefully examined as they form an integral part of the condition report.
