Marantz - 4240 (with WC-22 Wooden Case) & 5020 Hi-fi set

Offered at this auction is a splendid and highly sought-after vintage hi-fi set from the golden age of Marantz (the 1970s). This perfectly matched combination consists of the legendary Marantz Model 4240 Quadraphonic Receiver and the iconic Marantz Model 5020 Stereo Cassette Deck. Both units are in exceptionally beautiful cosmetic condition with very sleek aluminum front panels and all original knobs. Marantz Model 4240 Receiver – Features: • Original WC-22 Wooden Case: The receiver is equipped with the very rare and sought-after original wooden housing. The wood grain is beautifully preserved and gives the device an absolute high-end look. • Gorgeous Blue LED upgrade: The tuning scale and meters have been upgraded with high-quality, deep-blue LED lighting. This eliminates the heat of old incandescent lamps (which protects the delicate plastic) and gives the receiver that legendary, intense Marantz 'glow' that is especially breathtaking in the dark. • Quadraphonic power: To be used as a flexible 4x20 watt quadraphonic receiver or as a powerful 2x40 watt amplifier in stereo mode. Marantz Model 5020 Cassette Deck – Features: • Featuring the characteristic 'front-loading' design and the two lovely, large VU meters. • Equipped with a matching wooden finish on the top (the lid), so the deck aesthetically aligns perfectly with the receiver underneath.
