Marc Aldine (20th century) Gondolas on a Venetian canal

signed 'Marc Aldine' l.r., oil on canvas, 38 x 61cm; framed 53 x 76cm, Condition Report, Condition Report, Presents well overall. The canvas has a slightly coarse texture with a few tiny scattered raised bumps of paint. Under UV light there is some very pale fluorescing to some of the pale grey paint in the sky, however this appears to be a specific colour used rather than later retouching. The varnish appears thicker across the lower half of the painting and is patchy and uneven in places. This corresponds to an area in the lower left corner where the paint appears slightly thin, please refer to additional condition images. Request A Condition Report, Request A Condition Report
