Marco Cingolani (Como 1961) Mixed media on INTELATED paper Size 50 x 70 cm Signature and title, on the back of the work Authenticity on a photo by the artist Artwork of EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY Artwork from my personal private art collection The photos are an integral part of the description. Note: attention should be drawn to the growing market interest in Marco Cingolani and the quality of the work. I believe that contemporary Italian painting is still undervalued today compared to international art: widespread exotism often leads to seeking foreign artists, when creators like Cingolani possess a pictorial quality and historical relevance absolutely comparable to the best protagonists of the international scene. Brief biography Marco Cingolani (Como, 1961) is among the most important Italian contemporary painters. Moving to Milan at the end of the seventies, he develops a research influenced by post-punk culture, transforming images from current events and mass media into works with strong symbolic meaning. Graduated from the Brera Academy, he tackles themes related to Italian history and society, such as the Moro case, the assassination attempt on John Paul II, power, politics, and information. In the famous series of Interviews and Colors of Power, elements of contemporary communication become protagonists of a painting that is intense and reflective. In recent years he has devoted part of his research to spirituality and the theme of the sacred. He has exhibited in important Italian museums and institutions, including the PAC in Milan, the GAMeC in Bergamo, Palazzo Strozzi in Florence, and the Museo di Villa Guinigi in Lucca, in addition to a large retrospective organized by the city of Como. His works are part of prestigious public and private collections. His market is considered stable and appreciated by collectors and critics, who recognize his ability to reinterpret contemporary history through an original and personal painting language.
