All auctions / Arts & Graphics / Marie Alphonse Mucha - “Zodiaque, 1896”. Gesigneerd in de plaat.
Marie Alphonse Mucha: Title: “Zodiaque, 1896”. Signed on the plate. Color offset lithograph. Condition: the work is in excellent condition. Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939) is one of the indisputable masters of Art Nouveau and a fundamental figure in the history of decorative modern art. His instantly recognizable style, characterized by elegant female figures, flowing lines, ornamental halos and rich botanical motifs, has become synonymous with fin-de-siècle Paris and the rise of graphic art as a consolidated discipline. Mucha's works enjoy enduring international demand, with high prices for posters, lithographs and decorative panels, appealing just as much to fine art lovers, design enthusiasts and interior stylists. From a market and collecting perspective Mucha stands alongside other highly sought-after names in modern and decorative art, such as Gustav Klimt, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Egon Schiele and Aubrey Beardsley, while he also resonates with collectors of broader modern and contemporary icons such as Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Keith Haring, Banksy and Jeff Koons. His work often appears in search queries related to Art Nouveau interiors, vintage posters, luxurious interiors, Belle Époque aesthetics, history of graphic design and collectible prints. Never framed and kept in a dark archival storage between protective acid-free paper. The shown photos are part of the description.
