Marine observation binoculars

Up for auction is an iconic vintage nautical and military binocular: the Carl Zeiss 7x50 B, produced in Germany (Oberkochen) from the 1960s/1970s. The lot presents in good overall condition, perfectly functional, and is complete with its front lens cover and rear lens cover, as well as the integrated original strap. Optics. The optical system is functional and provides a well-defined viewing picture. For accuracy, it should be noted that one of the two lenses is clean and transparent, while the other shows a slight internal physiological opacification, a detail due to age that, however, does not compromise collimation and the overall brightness during observation. Mechanical. The lot has been tested and is functioning. Aesthetics. Good overall condition of the body, as clearly documented by the photographs. The solid and heavy-duty avant-garde construction with a rugged black armored rubber coating and grooved texture retains a strong visual impact, free of structural impacts or cuts, showing only normal signs of age and handling consistent with its age. Tracked international shipping, fully insured, and professional super-protective packaging to ensure maximum safety during transport.
