DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK We are offering at auction a poetic and evocative canvas by Mario Soave, entitled "My Window" and executed in oil. Our gallery regularly handles the Maestro's work, which has been exhibited in various solo, group, thematic exhibitions and reviews. The painting sits within the tradition of landscape painting so dear to the artist, but here interpreted through an intimate and contemplative approach. The visual device of the window serves as a thin boundary between the private dimension of the observer and the vastness of the surrounding nature. The soft strokes of the oil and the careful chromatic balance emphasize light and atmospheres, returning that sense of tranquility, quiet, and suspension that characterizes the artist's most appreciated productions. BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES AND CRITICS' REMARKS ABOUT THE ARTIST Mario Soave (Forte dei Marmi, 1955) is an Italian painter primarily devoted to landscape painting. He began art at a very young age (at thirteen he had his first approaches with a palette), and over the decades he developed a highly recognizable stylistic figure, focused on views, nocturnes, seascapes and Tuscan countryside, transfigured by memory and emotion. Having remained always tied to his homeland (he lives and works still in the province of Lucca), Soave has nonetheless managed to export his language beyond Italian borders. In his long career he has exhibited in important international art cities: from Italian Rome, Florence, Venice and Naples, to global major spaces such as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Wellington, New Zealand. His works, which have enjoyed constant acclaim from critics and collectors for years, are today present in numerous prestigious galleries and private collections in Europe, the United States, Latin America, Russia and China. SHIPPING AND PACKAGING Packaging: We guarantee professional, rigid and custom-reinforced packaging designed to preserve the work’s total integrity during transit, protected from shocks, folds, and moisture. Courier: Tracked, fast and secure shipment via express courier. Shipping Notes: The shipping costs, which may seem slightly higher than average, reflect the special care we take in crafting the packaging and selecting reliable couriers. The platform's indicated timelines are estimates. We generally ship within the indicated terms, sometimes even earlier. However, in periods of heavy traffic or if issues arise (for example, strikes), shipments may slip by a few days. In such cases, we usually keep the buyer informed about the order status and keep the package ready to be shipped on the first available day. If the shipment falls on a Friday, we postpone the shipment to Monday to avoid risky stockpiling in depots over the weekend. Customs and Export (Non-EU): For buyers outside the European Union, shipping may require the technical time needed to obtain the Free Circulation Certificate (Export License) from the MiC (Ministry of Culture). Any customs duties are the buyer's responsibility. Invoicing: Professional seller. The work will be accompanied by a tax receipt (or electronic invoice, obtainable by sending your details at the time of bidding). Frames and glass: The frame, if present, is part of the sale but should be considered a complimentary item, so no claims about its condition will be accepted. The conditions are always exhaustively stated in the description. If glass is present, it will be included in the sale only if the lot is collected in person at our gallery. For shipments, the glass is always removed and is therefore never considered part of the sale.
