We present the Marlen Parthenon Collection This collection celebrates the Temple of the Parthenon, one of the world’s greatest architectural treasures. Ahead of its time, the Temple was built for the goddess Athena, protector of Athens, and today it is a symbol of Greece’s classical historical period, when it led the world in philosophical, scientific, and artistic knowledge. The cap and body are crafted in black ebonite, with silver-engraved bands that evoke the iconic columned style of the building. The silverwork features a beautiful patina, with slight abrasions, protrusions, imperfections, and grooves that reveal artisan craftsmanship of the silver pieces. The fountain pen features a two-tone 18kt gold nib sized F (fine) with a piston filling system. The piston knob is accessible under the blind cap at the end of the barrel. Here we present an example that is part of a numbered series of 447 fountain pens produced for the world market in 1998.
