Mary Ann Carroll (1940-2019) Florida Highwaymen Oil on Canvas Painting, Signed

Painted by Mary Ann Carroll, known as the First Lady of the Highwaymen, this original oil on canvas captures an idyllic coastal vista. Sailboats drift across the water, framed elegantly by a shoreline of palms and eucalyptus-type trees. Carroll's masterful use of the palette knife and heavy impasto brushwork infuses the scene with texture, giving rich dimension to the deep-toned foliage and the sunlit ripples on the water. The painting is signed in dark pigment at the lower right M. A. CARROLL. The canvas is housed in a multi-tiered wooden frame featuring a gilded foliate cove, a textured cream-colored linen insert, and a gilded outer edge. Sight size: 11.50"W x 15.50"H. Dimensions: 17"W x 21"H Weight: 2.3 lbs Condition Request Condition Report Good.
