Masudaya - • Vintage Masudaya Modern Toys Tin Tram...

This concerns an authentic early export model (marked with "Foreign" and a patent number on the front) produced by the renowned Japanese quality manufacturer Masudaya (Modern Toys). Given the "Foreign" marking, this set was produced in the early export period (late 1930s to early 1950s) specifically for the European/British market. Features & Condition: • Material: Beautifully lithographed tin with a highly detailed and colorful cityscape. • Tin condition: In neat and bright vintage condition. The colors have been superbly preserved and there is hardly any of the usual rusting. • Operation: Equipped with a mechanical clockwork winding system. It should be checked/serviced. As the tram cars reach the end of the track, they automatically reverse via an ingeniously built-in mechanism on the turntable. • Completeness: Supplied with the accompanying loose winding key. A splendid and historically valuable object for the serious collector of antique tin plate toys.
