Maximin Grünhaus, on the little Ruwer tributary, has a winegrowing history reaching back to Roman times and was monastery land for a thousand years. The von Schubert family's Abtsberg, the abbot's slope, is a monopole and the jewel of its three vineyards. This is its Grosses Gewächs dry Riesling. 2019 was a great, racy Mosel vintage. Julia Harding MW gave it 16 out of 20.
