McIntosh - C30 Preamplifier

McIntosh • C30 • Excellent Condition • High End Stereo Preamplifier • Phono Stage Sublime and legendary McIntosh C30 stereo preamplifier. Purchased in 2019, fully recapped. Very rare for sale in this magnificent condition.. Remarkable cosmetic condition, glass front panel new, replaced in 2020 ($400) In perfect working order. Considered one of the best solid-state McIntosh preamplifiers, but above all the best phono stage of all the vintage McIntosh from that era. A remarkable musicality and dynamics; the C30 deserves to drive amplification or bi-amping to match its exceptional qualities (Threshold, Audio Research, Phase Linear, Krell, Cary, Carver…) Illuminated glass front panel, iconic for the brand in fantastic condition, no bubbles. 5-band equalizer. Original wooden case with its sliders. Massive brass decoupling spikes. Manufactured from 1985 to 1987, the golden age of Hi-Fi. The C30's numbering is confusing because it is a newer unit than the C31V, C32 and C33 models. Its design and features are very similar to those of the C34V, without the amplifier control. In fact, a virtue: with its simpler and more direct circuitry the C30 is more transparent and quieter than the C34V. • Frequency response: 20 Hz to 20 kHz • Total harmonic distortion: 0.007% • Gain: 62 dB (MM), 22 dB (Line) • Input sensitivity: 2 mV (MM), 200 mV (Line) • Signal-to-noise ratio: 90 dB (MM), 100 dB (Line) • Output: 10 V (Maximum pre-output) • Semiconductors: 28 x transistors - 66 x FET - 15 x IC - 91 x diodes • Dimensions: 406 x 138 x 353 mm • Weight: 11 kg with wooden case

Estimate:£2,541.66
