Mead Flyer with a 293cc J.A.P. (John Alfred Prestwich) engine, 2 speeds and belt drive. The Mead Flyer is a rare, classic British motorcycle built for the Mead Cycle Company by the Birmingham-based manufacturer Calthorpe. This model is technically identical to the 1916-1919 Calthorpe-JAP (see last photos). The Frisian provincial license plate B3272 was issued between 1 April 1919 and 1 November 1920 (see last photos) Owner: G. Jorna Place / Municipality: Heerenveen This very rare motorcycle has lain in a private collection for many years. The JAP engine has run again after standing idle, see video.
