Medieval bronze pectoral cross. Early Medieval Period 1100-1400 AD. A four-pointed cross featuring distinctive flared ends shaped like trefoils (also described as "lily-shaped"). Each arm terminates in a clearly defined, rounded lobe, lending the cross a particular elegance. This form symbolizes the Holy Trinity and the flourishing of faith. The surface bears traces of use—minor scratches, scuffs, and slight casting irregularities—which are normal for objects of this age and only serve to highlight their antiquity. On the reverse side, the patina is more uniform, and the relief of the terminals remains intact. The object bears a noble, natural green patina that formed over centuries of burial in the ground, confirming its authenticity. The metal is strong.Signs of wear consistent with age and use.
