Ca. AD 700 - 900. A gold ring with a slender semicircular hoop expanding into segmented, bulbous shoulders divided by beaded collars. The rectangular bezel is set with a faceted oval ruby in a raised collet. Size: D:16.31mm / US: 5 3/4 / UK: L; Weight: 3.8g Provenance: Property of a West London gentleman; previously in a collection formed on the UK/International art market in the 1990s.
