THERE IS ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1 In this vertical format, Medsan places Kaneda, the hero of Akira, with his back to the viewer in the foreground, facing Neo-Tokyo at night. We only see his messy black hair and his red jacket, the back marked by the large red and cream pill; his arms hang by his sides, wrists clenched in red cuffs. In front of him, the city towers cut a silhouette in dark blue, lit windows, and a skyscraper taller than the rest points its spire toward the sky. Above, a huge wave of black smoke and red flames rises and curves over the city, ready to engulf it; sparks break off and drift into the night. In the upper right, the full moon, round and pale, watches beside the red cartouche アキラ and the cartouche メドサン. Deep night blue, bright red, black and cream share the image.
