MEDSAN - Back to the Future DeLorean (バック・トゥ・ザ・フューチャーのデロリアン) - UNIQUE WORK

THERE IS ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1 In this square format, Medsan abandons the DeLorean from Back to the Future in the middle of a salt desert submerged under a thin layer of water, at sunset. The time machine is seen from three-quarters rear, butterfly doors wide open on the dashboard, steel-gray body rusting, with its large cooling grilles standing above the engine and its cables hanging down into the water. At the back, the DeLorean name is still legible, and a torn red banner is hanging there: “CAUTION TIME STILL RUNS.” Against the rear wheel, a flamingo stands in the water, neck curved toward the body. The water reflects the car, the bird, and the sunset trail, while the clouds glow orange above a chain of blue-gray mountains. At the bottom right, the cartouche メドサン in red. The steel gray, the rust brown, the lavender blue, and the golden orange dominate, as if time had finally caught up with the machine. A melancholic yet luminous piece, ideal to bring a touch of cult cinema to a collector’s interior or a Back to the Future fan’s space.
