MEDSAN - One Piece Chopper Surfing the Great Wave (大波に乗るチョッパー) - UNIQUE WORK

THERE IS ONLY ONE OF ITS KIND IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1 On this square format, Medsan launches Tony Tony Chopper, the little medic reindeer from One Piece, at the assault of a gigantic wave. Standing on a white surfboard marked with the Jolly Roger of Luffy's pirate crew, he stretches his arms to keep balance, mouth wide open in a joyful cry and eyes bulging as he gazes ahead. You can recognize his pink hat stamped with a white cross, his brown antlers, his blue nose, his violet shorts, and the small bag on his back. Above him, the indigo blue crest breaks into cream foam claws and shoots droplets into a pale blue sky crossed by clouds. Far below, fishing boats dive into the troughs, their rowers lying on the benches, while in the distance Mt. Fuji, snow-capped, remains immobile on the horizon. In the upper left, a vertical caption aligns Japanese characters. The pink of the hat pops amid blues and cream tones: a carefree scene at the heart of the storm. A joyful and immediately recognizable piece, ideal to bring a touch of adventure and Japanese culture to a contemporary interior or to a collection of manga enthusiasts.
