Meerschaum pipe - Sea Foam - (2)

• This piece is a classic example of an African portrait pipe (historically categorized in period trade catalogs as a "tête de maure"). It features beautifully rendered ethnic facial features and textured hair. The most notable characteristic is its deep, rich chestnut-brown and amber patina. This coloration is highly prized by collectors; it develops naturally over decades as the porous meerschaum mineral absorbs tobacco oils and heat during use. Size Cm 6x6x4 The second piece is carved in the likeness of a bearded man wearing a head wrap or stylized cap, reminiscent of an Orientalist motif or an Ottoman dignitary. It retains a much lighter, cream-colored finish, suggesting it was smoked significantly less than the other piece, or has been carefully preserved. Size cm 6x5.5x3 Items in good conditions, the mouth pieces are missing. Providing professional packaging shippingbwith UPS international tracked and signed.
