RARE Japanese Imari antique lamp Vase Lamp (c. 1880) - Bronze signed A. Delafontaine Description : RARE table lamp made from an authentic Japanese porcelain vase, Imari style, dating from the 1870s-1880s (Meiji Era). A collectible piece with timeless charm, ideal for classic or vintage decor or to bring a chic and eclectic touch to a modern interior. Characteristics & Details :Materials: Fine porcelain vase and mounts (engraved base and lid) in bronze or gilded brass, chased. The Signature (Authentication): The metal base bears the prestigious stamp “AD” cold-engraved, official signature of the famous Parisian house of Auguste Delafontaine (1813-1892), renowned founder-citter of the 19th century. A workshop model number is also engraved. This prestigious mark guarantees that it is a high-quality luminaire from the Napoléon III/Japonisme era. Decor : Hand-painted traditional Imari pattern with a magnificent palette of cobalt blue, iron red and delicate gilded highlights. The details depict floral motifs and geometrically typical landscapes. Style : Napoléon III / Japonisme / Antique Asian. Metal mount: Beautiful authentic antique patina that gives all the charm to the piece. !!!Important electrical note : The power cord is supplied. The top socket is entirely original, which means the current bulbs do not fit. To use it daily, you simply need to replace this top socket with a modern screw-in model (E27 or E14). It’s a very simple and 100% reversible operation that does not affect the value of the original bronze. !!!SOLD WITHOUT SHADE!!! The photos with a shade are digital simulations to help you imagine its full decorating potential. Fast and careful shipping (ultra-secure protective packaging).
