GENERAL: This 1989 Mercedes-Benz 500 SEL, with approximately 162,000 kilometers, is a European-origin luxury sedan highly valued by collectors. Belonging to the legendary W126 generation designed by Bruno Sacco, the long-wheelbase body style (SEL) represented the pinnacle of comfort, engineering, and executive status for the German brand during the eighties. This particular example has spent its entire life in Spain, originally registered on the island of Ibiza and kept in recent years in Toledo, which favors the preservation of its structure away from adverse climates and road salt. BODYWORK AND PAINT: The car is in very good bodywork condition and shows no signs of having been in accidents throughout its life. The paint retains a strong shine with only minimal defects derived from use, the passage of time, and parking maneuvers. A polishing job would do it well to further enhance the intensity of its original finish. MECHANICS: Because the vehicle has seen very little use in recent years, it is advisable to carry out a full mechanical check-up and a general tune-up before putting it back into regular service. INTERIOR: The gray-toned cabin features the original velour upholstery, a period option that was highly exclusive and considered superior at the time to leather. As can be seen, it remains in excellent condition, as do all the vehicle’s carpets. DOCUMENTATION: The vehicle has documented Spanish provenance from its origin. PICKUP: The car is located in Madrid, Spain. If won, the purchaser will have a 20-day free storage period to arrange its collection.
