Meryl Grasa presents the original work titled: "Hidden Vertigo, Angel's Leap I" from the year 2026, with dimensions 110 x 80 cm, hand-signed and sold directly from the artist's studio in Spain. The piece is in perfect condition and ships with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist. The work is dispatched rolled and protected in a tube, and shipping is carried out within three business days after purchase. "Hidden Vertigo, Angel's Leap I" is a mid-sized acrylic painting on canvas (please insert real dimensions here), where the artist explores the duality between the physicality of painting and the suggested representation of an extreme landscape. The work is arranged vertically, dominated by two powerful white, flowing columns that descend in parallel from the top central area toward a mass of dark water at the base. These white forms immediately evoke the violent fall of a twin waterfall, capturing the movement, the foam, and the raw energy of the water as it descends. The surroundings of the waterfall are not a realistic landscape, but a rugged and textured terrain, almost geological, made up of layered deposits of dense acrylic paint. Earthy tones, ochre, slate gray, dark green, and hints of burnt orange create an organic and robust palette. The application of the paint is visceral, using broad brushstrokes and a spatula to create a tactile relief that imitates the texture of rock and forest. Concept and Inspiration: This painting is a meditation on the uncontrollable force of nature and human insignificance in the face of it. The artist plays with abstraction and figuration: up close, the work is a field of abstract textures and colors; from a distance, the image of the waterfall reveals itself with undeniable force, inviting the viewer to feel the "vertigo" of standing on the edge of a natural abyss. The subtle horizontal division at mid-height suggests a horizon or a change in geology, while the deep navy blue at the base of the waterfall represents the unfathomable well where the waters converge.
