Provenance: Studio of the artist Verso with authentication sticker and numbering. "The Icons of Art series" is conceived as an homage to the great names and motifs of international art history. They are mixed together, reinterpreted, and made visible again for a new generation. This selection focuses on central positions of contemporary urban and street art, including internationally established artists such as KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Invader, Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Futura, JR and Mr. Brainwash, whose works shape the interface between street art, pop culture, and modern art. Biography The girl from Neukölln is making a fresh start with a new Berlin crew. Already as a child she was more than enthused by the street art around her and began spray-painting on the streets of Berlin at an early age. Inspired by her surroundings, she studies painting at the University of the Arts Berlin but leaves the program early and goes to Paris. Back in Berlin, her academic career now manifests in her motifs. There are now series planned and begun, based on and after great role models from art history. Because this is a unique edition, the paintings differ from the object depicted here.
