A distinctive Dutch mid-century sewing stand, designed by Joost Teders for Metalux, circa 1955. The design consists of a slim black metal tripod frame with four separate storage boxes. The boxes can be rotated around the central frame and are equipped with hinged lids in different colors: red, yellow, green and gray. A playful and functional example of Dutch design from the 1950s, with a strongly geometric character. The piece is in authentic vintage condition. The wooden parts and the lacquer show clear signs of use and aging, including lacquer loss, scratches and localized craquelé. These are clearly visible in the photos.
