Michel Dumas - Board game - Grand Modéle - Plexiglass

Beautiful, rare and large-scale modernist chess set designed by the well-known French designer Michel Dumas (Michael Dumas Creations) from the 1970s. Dumas is worldwide known for his avant-garde plexiglass designs (including for Roche Bobois). This piece is an absolute top item for both design collectors and chess enthusiasts. The chessboard and the geometric pieces are made of high-quality acrylic glass (Lucite/plexiglass). Thanks to the transparent, contrasting elements and the mirrored details, a beautiful sense of depth emerges. This makes the set a functional game and an exclusive design statement in any high-end interior. Unique about this lot: This specimen is 100% complete (including all 32 original pieces), still has the original stickers, and is delivered with the extremely rare original storage box.
