Mid 19th century two-day marine chronometer by Norris & Campbell, Liverpool, No. 463, signed 3.75" silvered dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track, fifty-four hour power reserve indicator over a constant seconds dial, gold spade hands, brass full plate fusee movement with maintaining power, Earnshaw type detent escapement and Z-type bimetallic compensated balance with a helical hairspring and diamond endstone, in a brass case with sliding winding hole shutter and gimbal mount within a 6.25" square brass bound mahogany three-tier case with a circular vacant ivory plaque and with side carry-handles (with winding key and case key) ** with a purchase receipt from Asprey, London dated 15th April 1989 for £2800 ** Case ivory submission reference RREYS7X
