Pair of display columns/pedestals dates back to the Mid-Century Modern period, specifically produced in the 1970s. Detailed Description Structure and Design: Each pedestal features a pronounced geometric and modular aesthetic typical of interior design in the second half of the twentieth century. The cylindrical shaft is structured in blocks or stacked cylindrical sections (discs), interspersed with rings in a polished chrome finish. This stark contrast between natural stone and the mirrored metal element creates a strong spatial visual impact and a modernist feel. Material: The cylindrical modules, the base, and the upper top are made of fine veined marble or onyx/alabaster in rich natural tones ranging from light olive green to beige, with dark veins and amber hues that enhance its material uniqueness. End: The column on the left terminates with an upper shelf and a base of perfectly square shape. The column on the right instead features an upper shelf and a base with chamfered corners forming an octagonal shape.
