His work combines satire, symbolism and reflection on spectacle, representation and human behavior. The themes of carnival, commedia dell’arte and processions occupy an important place in his imagination. Through their frontal stance and their hieratic quality, his figures give his compositions a dimension that is at once unsettling, poetic and deeply narrative.
