A little history: The Cross of the Templars is the iconic emblem of the Order of the Temple, a medieval military and religious order. Officially attributed to the knights by Pope Eugene III in 1147, it is a bright red color (symbolizing martyrdom and the blood shed for Christ) and is traditionally worn on the knights' white cloak or the sergeants' black cloak.
