Milo (1919-1978) - after - Sculpture

A particularly expressive and dynamic bronze sculpture in which the bond between mother and child is beautifully depicted. The piece shows a woman holding her child by both hands and swinging it around. The movement is captured with exceptional beauty in the bronze: the hair flying backward, the flowing dress, and the almost weightless child seemingly hovering give the sculpture an extraordinarily lively appearance. The warm, dark patina emphasizes the modeling and creates lovely nuances in the surface. The sculpture is mounted on a heavy black marble pedestal, giving the whole a classical and luxurious presentation. On the bronze base there is a signature, as well as a separate bronze foundry/studio mark with, among other things, “JB – Déposée – Bronze.” There is also a number inscribed on the base. See the extensive detail photos, which are part of the description. A decorative art object with a lot of movement and emotion that fits exceptionally well in both a classic and contemporary interior.
