MiLo - The Sun Keeps Her Secret - XXL

The Sun Keeps Her Secret MiLo (1976), Netherlands. Acrylic on canvas. A stylised female figure appears against a warm rust-red background. Her broad, pale hat conceals her face, leaving only a glimpse beneath the brim. The bold black-and-cream stripes of her top give the composition a strong graphic rhythm, set against the expressive, loosely painted field of red. The hidden face gives the figure an air of mystery, while the warm palette and striking contrast make the work vivid and immediate. The painting brings figurative imagery together with MiLo’s expressive use of colour and simplified form.
