Mimmo Rotella (1918-2006) - Per un pugno di donne

An extraordinary institutional investment opportunity that unites two monumental cultural legends of the 20th century: the King of Rock 'n' Roll, Elvis Presley, and the undisputed master of Nouveau Réalisme and Pop Art, Mimmo Rotella (1918–2006). Titled "For a Fistful of Women," this vibrant mixed-media work masterfully deconstructs the Italian cinema poster of the era for Elvis's iconic 1965 Western comedy (originally released under the title Ticklе Me). Rotella's lifelong passion for movie posters lies at the heart of his artistic legacy. Through tearing, overprinting, and recontextualizing the playful and hyper-masculine image of Elvis surrounded by cowgirls, Rotella transforms a mass-market marketing relic into a powerful visual-poetry masterpiece. This lot is presented in a refined contemporary high-end frame, making it an exceptional piece ready to be displayed, destined to infuse historical Pop energy into any modern luxury interior or prestigious private art collection. Technical description and condition report: The artwork is realized with a brilliant mixed-media composition on glossy professional paper, ensuring spectacular color saturation, deep contrasts, and extraordinary longevity over time. Signatures, numbering, and authenticity: Hand-signed by Mimmo Rotella in pencil on the lower right front margin. This copy bears the manual numbering 77/125 in pencil in the lower left corner and bears the prestigious official blind stamp of the Fondazione Mimmo Rotella Milano pressed directly into the paper fibers, guaranteeing absolute institutional authenticity. On the back of the sheet is also the autograph authentication inscription "Per autenticità" accompanied by the official signature of Piero Rotella. Framing and condition: The work presents in impeccable/excellent condition, with extremely vivid ochre-yellow backgrounds and rich dark blue tones. It is professionally enhanced by a museum-grade white mat and a stylish minimalist black wooden frame. The frame is in exceptional, as-new condition, ready for immediate display. An impeccable artistic homage and high commercial value to Hollywood history and Italian avant-garde art. Dimensions of the Serigraphy: 100 x 70 cm. A Certificate of Authenticity from Galleria San Gallo is attached. The lot will be carefully packed and shipped with contracted couriers and online tracking. For this lot, shipments outside the European Community are not available.
