Approximate dimensions: Length: 22 in. total weight 112.05 grams Provenance: From the Gaston Collection, acquired through generational transfer from the Estate of Louise Frederick Hays (1881-1951), wife of Senator James E. Hays; the Estate of Louise Frederick Hays Gaston and Dr. Joseph H. Gaston III; and the Estate of Dr. J. Harper Gaston and Dr. Anne Elizabeth Hendrick Gaston. The multi-generational collection was housed at two notable Georgia homes�Twin Oaks (a National Register Greek Revival estate in Greenville, Georgia and Rhodes Hall (the �castle on Peachtree Street� that functioned a Georgia State Archives from 1930-1965).
