Pair of vintage pear-shaped mirrors in wood and gilded stucco - 1950s-1960s Fascinating and elegant pair of vintage wall mirrors dating to the mid-20th century (roughly the 1950s-60s). The mirrors feature a refined and unusual organic pear-shaped form or an asymmetric silhouette, which gives them a strong decorative character and a decidedly dramatic appearance. The frames are made of wood and stucco, completely finished with classic gilding (gold leaf or gilded paint with a very beautiful patina of time). The upper and lower ends are adorned with small ornamental motifs carved in a Baroque and Neoclassical-inspired style. Perfect for enriching a wall gallery, for an entrance, or to add a retro and eclectic touch to interiors, both classic and contemporary. The mirrors are presented in good overall vintage condition, stable and ready to hang. The gilding shows a natural and fascinating patina of time with very light signs of wear that attest to their authenticity and age (please look closely at the photos for details). The mirrored glass is intact.
