Elegant wall mirror carved and gilded in wood, belonging to the decorative aesthetic of the Napoléon III period of the late 19th century. Its circular composition stands out for the harmony of a double frame, where a smooth inner ring houses the original bevelled glass, and a second ornate outer ring surrounds the piece with a refined play of curves and counter-curves inspired by floral motifs. The structure is articulated by delicate stylized vegetal motifs that follow the contour, culminating in a superior floral crown that serves as an ornamental finish and adds verticality to the whole. At the bottom, a symmetrical motif in the shape of leaves and volutes reinforces the visual balance characteristic of French taste of the era. The carving, though restrained, possesses the sinuously elegant lines and decorative sense typical of Second Empire bourgeois interiors. The mirror retains its bevelled glass, a quality detail that enriches the reflections and adds depth to the piece. The patina of the gilding, softened by the passage of time, gives warmth and authenticity to the whole, highlighting the reliefs of the vegetal ornamentation. Because of its circular format, its light design, and the sophistication of its lines, this mirror constitutes an excellent example of Napoléon III decorative furniture, capable of integrating into both classical and eclectic interiors, bringing luminosity, elegance, and the unmistakable charm of 19th-century French decor. Insured shipping and careful packaging.
