Modern Gold Necklace with 1.01 ct Brilliant Solitaire, Germany c. 1990

Simple, yet self-confident, powerful and full of elegance - this necklace made of high-carat yellow gold from the Georg H. Leicht manufactory in Pforzheim. After the large, often expressive forms of the 1970s and early 1980s, around 1990 there was a return to forms that radiate calm and value. Gold was allowed to shine and the diamond took center stage as a solitaire, but at the same time understatement was rediscovered. Here it is a brilliant-cut diamond of 1.01 carats that forms the center of the necklace, set in a strong bezel setting that encloses it securely. The stone has a slightly tinted white hue, creating a harmonious dialog with the rich tone of the yellow gold. Small natural inclusions in the diamond make it unique. Their visibility was subtly visually reduced by the then new laser cleaning process. The flat curb chain, designed in a slightly graduated shape, is soft to the touch. As its links are slightly rounded, its appearance is also soft and supple. The necklace is a piece of jewellery of lasting beauty, high-quality and yet not loud. It found its way to us from the Rhineland.
