MOLDAVITE -METEORITE impact- (Czech Republic) 14.5 million years

Authentic Moldavite from the Czech Republic. Beautiful form, excellent quality. Moldavites are minerals resulting from the melting of material due to the impact of a large meteorite on Earth's surface. Moldavites are associated with the impact crater located at Nördlingen Ries (Germany), from which they were ejected to the surroundings of the Moldau River in the Czech Republic (hence their name) and have an age of formation of 14.5 million years. They are becoming increasingly scarce, particularly the substantial ones like the one offered in this lot. Each piece of moldavite is different, so each one is exclusive and unique. A safe investment that appreciates in value every day. A fantastic specimen to add to your collection or to use in jewelry making. Moldavites belong to the tektite family (from the Greek tektos, melted); they are natural glass objects formed by the impact of large meteorites on the Earth's surface. Tektites are the driest known minerals, with an average water content of 0.005%, which suggests that tektites formed under very high temperatures and pressures (similar to those needed to form diamonds). We are members of the main international associations related to meteorites, so we guarantee lifelong authenticity of all our meteorites and jewelry made with this material.
