Monet - Silver-Plated - Necklace - Priscilla Collection 1954

Monet – Priscilla Adjustable Slide Necklace – 1954 Model Priscilla, presented in Monet's spring 1954 advertising campaign and documented in the work Monet: The Master Jewelers by Alice Vega. Launched in the early 1950s, the Priscilla model is among Monet's most popular creations. Its success earned it to remain in the house's collections during the 1960s and 1970s. The necklace consists of several strands of flexible snake chains, joined by a central adjustable slide allowing the length of the necklace and the arrangement of the chains to be modified depending on the neckline. The central motif combines a polished oval plate with curved elements. The oval surface was specially intended to receive a personalized engraving or a monogram, a feature mentioned in the original advertisement. A cascade of chains ending in elongated metal drops emphasizes the movement and fluidity of the model. Model: Priscilla House: Monet, United States Material: Silvered metal, snake chains Maximum adjustable length: 45 cm Period: 1954 Condition: Very good vintage conditio
