Montblanc - 145 - Fountain pen

Montblanc Meisterstück 4810 14k gold fountain pen, 1980s - Germany Brand: Montblanc Materials: Black resin and 14k gold Origin: Private collection Dimensions: 14.5 x 2 x 2 cm. The Meisterstück, meaning “work of art” in German, pays tribute to its name with artisanal magnificence. Since its creation, this fountain pen has been one of the most coveted writing instruments. Today, this companion for forward-thinking minds, dreamers, and the ambitious remains an icon of writing. The cap and cartridge are made from precious black resin, with the iconic white Montblanc emblem inlaid at the top of the cap. The fountain pen features the emblematic hand-crafted nib in 14k gold. Curiosity: this nib is carved by the brand’s craftsmen with gold sheets, in a process that involves 35 steps. Montblanc The company was founded in 1906 when August Eberstein, a designer, and Alfred Nehemias, a banker, created their first line of fountain pens. Although they initially produced simple fountain pens, they gradually moved toward luxury pens, and in 1908 the “Rouge et Noir” was born, Montblanc’s first luxury fountain pen. Since then Montblanc has continued to expand its line of writing instruments. In 1924 they launched the famous Meisterstück, which today is the most celebrated fountain pen of all time. With this, Montblanc established itself as a producer and distributor of luxury goods, including writing instruments, watches, bags, leather goods, jewelry, fragrances, and other accessories. After World War II there was a period of reconstruction and innovation in the 1940s, when Montblanc artisans opted for a much more sober appearance for the Meisterstück: the iconic design became famous for its pure form. In 1949 Montblanc introduced a trio of models: the 142, the 144, and the 146. Three years later the Meisterstück gained a new grandeur. Thus the iconic 149 was born. Shipping for the product will be paid by the buyer, based on size, weight, and destination. Shipping costs include professional, tailor-made packaging with a tracking number. The pen is preserved as shown in the photo; the reservoir is empty, and it is a pen that has never been inked. The nib is not dry but well cared for so as not to be damaged. The pen has been well preserved because I am a very meticulous collector! Happy bidding! The stock is low, take advantage! Sold without a case or box, as during a move it was lost, while I keep the pens in another pen case rather than in their own housings.
